Midweight Graphic Designer with Motion Design Capabilites

We believe branding and design serves as a force for good. We partner with purpose-led organisations, social enterprises, and visionary brands to create strategic, design-led work that drives positive impact for people and the planet.

We're seeking a Midweight Graphic Designer with motion design skills who values craft, understands storytelling, and loves animating ideas through movement.

The Role

You'll work across brand identity, digital design, and motion graphics projects from concept to delivery. You will report to the Creative Director and Design Director, work directly with our design team, Account Director, and wider network of freelance writers, strategists, and specialists.

We are seeking a Sydney-based designer, as we value face-to-face studio time highly, with flexible hybrid work-from-home arrangements when required.

What You'll Do

  • Design brand identities, marketing collateral, and digital assets
  • Animate brands, campaigns and ideas through motion
  • Work with brand guidelines to produce fresh applications
  • Contribute to creative concepting and strategy
  • Champion design excellence and studio

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years' experience in graphic design roles
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Demonstrable motion design skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Strong understanding of typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience working on brand identity projects
  • Portfolio showing both static and motion work
  • Self-direction and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Enthusiasm for design's potential to influence positive change

Salary and Working Arrangements

Our pay range for this position is $75 - $95k inclusive of super.

The role is full-time. However, we believe in work-life balance and welcome possible 4-day arrangements in the future. We offer competitive remuneration pro-rated to the number of days you work. We don't believe anyone completes five days’ worth of work in four, so we don't set that expectation. Crafting quality takes time.

We're seeking a Sydney-based designer because we value face-to-face studio time highly, with flexible hybrid-wfh when required. We welcome candidates considering freelancing in person with the team at our studio in South Eveleigh, Sydney, with a view to transitioning to a permanent role if collaboration succeeds for everyone. WFH flexibility is available once settled into the studio rhythm.
